Open House Musical Theatre
with NCTC Staff
Students: Grades 3-8
Day/Time: 11 am-12 pm, Saturday, September 26

Ready to hit the stage? Whether you’re a seasoned performer or brand new to theatre, our one-day Open House is the perfect way to jump in and play. Come meet our amazing Teaching Artists, connect with fellow young actors, and get a sneak peek at the fun in store this fall. You’ll sing your heart out and explore your creativity in a playful, supportive space.
*Combine with one of our Open House Acting classes (based on grade level) and stay for TWO FREE HOURS. Our Conservatory classes are designed to complement each other, giving students a deeper, more well-rounded training experience.
Teen Acting Lab
with NCTC Staff
Students: Grades 6-8
Day/Time: Saturdays, 10 am-11:30 am
Dates: October 17- December 12 (8 classes, no class 11/28)
Level: Beginner to intermediate (no experience needed)
Tuition: $400
Inspiration is everywhere in this one-of-a-kind Acting Lab! Each week, students will sharpen their improvisation skills through group warm-ups. Next, they’ll be given a brand-new, creative prompt—such as a haunting photograph, a striking piece of music, a bizarre costume piece, a historical artifact, or a strange headline. Working collaboratively in small groups, students will devise unique scenes from scratch. They’ll learn to say "Yes, and..." to their peers' ideas, build high-stakes dramatic tension, and develop complex characters. By stepping out of the bounds of pre-written scripts, young actors will unlock their own creative voices and gain confidence in their storytelling abilities. Families will be invited to an Open Studio Presentation on the final day of class.
*Please be sure you can commit to the schedule (especially the final two classes) and communicate any conflicts before registering.
Double the Fun, One Easy Drop-Off! Combine with the Teen Musical Theatre (from 11:40 am-1:00 pm) and stay at NCTC from 10 am-1 pm (with a 10-minute snack break in between). Our Saturday Conservatory acting and musical theatre classes are designed to complement each other, giving students a deeper, more well-rounded training experience. Enroll in both and your child will enjoy three full hours of creative learning—all with just one drop-off and pick-up. It’s the perfect way to build skills, confidence, and stage presence in one exciting morning!

Teen Musical Theatre

Day/Time: Saturdays, 11:40 am-1:00 pm
Dates: October 17- December 12 (8 classes, no class 11/28)
Level: Beginner to intermediate (no experience necessary)
Tuition: $400
Whether it’s your first time singing and dancing or you’re ready for a tune-up, this class will give you a little bit of everything. Using villain songs from Broadway musicals (Mean Girls, Hamilton, Little Shop of Horrors), we’ll work on storytelling through singing and use easy-to-follow choreography to build dynamic performances. Families will be invited to an Open Studio Presentation on the final day of class.

Teen Acting Ensemble
with NCTC Staff
Students: Grades 6-9
Day/Time: Saturdays, 10:00 am-12:00 pm
Dates: January 23- March 20 (8 classes, no 2/13)
Level: Beginner to Intermediate
Tuition: $500
Take the spotlight and bring a story to life! In this dynamic, hands-on acting class, teen performers will collaborate on a 20-minute mini-play—complete with costume pieces, props, and a final performance on a professional stage for family and friends. Students will dive deep into character development, sharpen their script and memorization skills, and discover what it really takes to build a performance from the ground up. Along the way, you’ll learn how to take direction, support your ensemble, and experience the thrill of creating theatre as a team. (Play title is TBD)
*Please be sure you can commit to the schedule and especially the final two classes (dress rehearsal & showcase day), and communicate any conflicts before registering. Unapproved absences may result in removal from some or all performance pieces--the show must go on, after all.

Stage Makeup for Teens
with NCTC Staff
Students: Grades 6-9
Day/Time: Saturdays, 12:15 pm-1:15 pm
Dates: January 23- March 6 (6 classes, no 2/13)
Level: Beginner to Intermediate
Tuition: $200 (includes makeup palette)
In this hands-on class, students will learn the fundamentals of stage makeup while exploring a range of exciting theatrical looks. From fantastical fairies and classic mimes to creepy monsters and realistic wounds, each week brings a new challenge. All makeup and supplies are included.
